Background Information

The Holiday Club in Australia is associated with a group of Clubs developed by the Beekman Brothers, Braam and John, who have over twenty years of experience in the holiday ownership industry.

They started in 1982, developing and building seven resorts.  In 1993 the points system was launched.

Today The Holiday Club South Africa is the owner of stock in 52 resorts in South Africa.  The group currently has over 70,000 members and is growing by five to six thousand members a year.

The Responsible Entity is part of the Resort Condominium International ('RCI') Global Vacation Network.  The RCI Global Vacation Network is a division of Wyndham Worldwide Corporation ('Wyndham').  Wyndham is listed on the New York Stock Exchange and is a member of the S & P 500 index.  Wyndham is one of the world's largest publicly traded hospitality companies and the RCI Global Vacation Network is the operator of the world's largest vacation exchange network and one of the largest vacation rental networks.  It offers its more than 3 million members access to approximately 55,000 vacation properties located in over 100 countries. The Beekman Brothers and Wyndham jointly own Vacation Management Services Pty Ltd, which manages The Holiday Club South Africa.

In a competitive market, The Holiday Club South Africa has built up and maintained its position as one of the largest points based holiday ownership club in South Africa.  It contributes around 30% of RCI's South African enrolments every year and has won many awards for the most enrolments in South Africa.  On three occasions during the past ten years The Holiday Club South Africa has won the Developer of the Year award from RCI and both John and Braam have been inducted to the RCI Hall of Fame for their contribution to the holiday ownership industry.

RCI Inc has recognised The Holiday Club Group as one of the top developers of timeshare in the world.

The Holiday Club South Africa currently employs over 500 people of which over 165 work at the head office in Durban South Africa.

The Holiday Club is a separate points based timeshare, operated in Australia under Australian law.
